Safety plays a major role in determining quality of life, property values, and long-term comfort. Berkeley, located in Alameda County, California, is known for its vibrant culture, academic influence, and urban-suburban mix. However, like many cities in the San Francisco Bay Area, it experiences varying crime levels depending on neighborhood and population density.
